In the spring of 2004, due to the entry in the catalog of multi-megawatt Windturbine manufacturers and with greater dimensions than previously was installed, it was decided to launch a new kind of study / report not used until that date. At that moment, began to detect some traffic problems in some access road to Wind Parks. The great dimensions of the Windturbines and their transport tonnage were a handicap difficult to assume for the existing road network especially in regional/provincial networks and, especially, in local/vicinal.
It was notorious the need for a document that, prior to the signing of contracts and/or after an evaluation of the installation overall costs, will identify, detail and quantify all those possible problems or "inconveniences" that could arise during a Route, defined, of access to Wind Parks.
The most sensitive points of analysis are summarized in the following list:
• Pass through populations.
• Curves of limited radius.
• Passes over bridges of doubtful load capacity..
• Pass over pontoons and/or drainage works of any kind..
• Roundabouts and Intersections.
• Adjusted gauges in bridges and/or tunnels.
• Roads limited in maximum tonnage.
